: Hey Mickster...
: Hope you had a really good Christmas.I really appreciated your kind words in our correspondence earlier this week(or,later last week-however you look at it)
: Now,I've just gotta ask:what bass products did you get for Christmas? Was that exotic 7-string fretless, with graphite neck and gold hardware tucked neatly under the tree?I heard that Sant's sleigh had trouble flying over Queens, because the Ampeg SVT was weighing him down a bit!
: Actually,I just hope Christmas was good for ya!
Hey Tim, I hope Kris Kringle was good to you and your's.As for me, I actually
did buy one of those Epiphone Jack Casady basses from Musiciansfriend late on
Friday night.I had to.It's one of the basses I really did want, and how can anyone pass up $270.00 off? These basses on average go for about $725.00-$750.00
without a case.As I said in a posting last week, they had black ones for $719.00
and vintage sunburst ones for $449.00! I delayed buying one, went back to their
site on 12/20/00 and they listed them as sold out;can't be reordered.I almost
cried.I went back the next day,12/21/00 and Lo and behold, they were back!
I called and spoke to a human just to make sure it was true, and the guy on the
phone said:"They were sold out, then someone found another 9 in their warehouse, and, once these were sold out that's it for the $449.00 price. Not letting procrastination win a second time, I ordered one, and it should be in
transit as we speak.I just hope that I don't start playing tag with the U.P.S
driver.Let's hope for the best.Thanks for asking.You know I'll give a 5,000
word review of it when I get it.I'll talk to you by e-mail before this century
P.S.If anyone is interested in this bass, they're going fast.Get to the site.
You'll never see a price break like this again.$270.00 less because it's not
a popular color!Unbelievable.
Second P.S. I still don't have a 5 string...
