I have one.

Just press "edit" on the bank you want to change.
To take away the preseted effects, you press both pedals down at the same time then use left (or right) pedal to step around the effects.

I usually take away all effects and build up. When you want to add an effect you just put yourself on it and press + or - until desired effect. When you are done, you just press store. And you are done.

On my 506, it's the fuzz effect that make that noise. If you use the effects gently this problem should go away.
...You should check cables and stuff if you get a buzz when you have no effects on. In my experiance, it's a faulty cable that produce noise, and generally not the pedals (unless it's a desired effect ofcourse)

Hope this helps.

Cheers

: Hi, fellow bass players.

: Does anyone out there have a Zoom 506 and know how to edit the factory presets and store more than one effect per patch? The instructions that come with the pedal don't explain how to do this, and there is way too much white noise on the standard effects to mic my amp in live situations. You're supposed to be able to store up to four different effects per patch.

: I'd like to be able to use a compressor/limitor, eq, octaver and chorus at least, and maybe some digital delay and reverb on occasion.

: Thanks.
