After about three years of playing (and probably not enough practicing) I think that I've worked up a decent, at least respectable, set of gear:
Depending on who I'm playing with and what sound I want, I switch between 1) my four string Washburn bass, (I've never been able to find anymore info on it other then it's a b-100, Les Paul Body Style) or 2) my five string acoustic bass
Which I run through either my fifteen inch, Peavey TKO75 amp. This rigs been nothing but problems and I'm hoping to upgrade it very soon. I also was in the right place at the right time and acquired an old Yamaha rig, 2x10 and very loud for free. Still need to clean the potswitchs on this though.
When I'm on the four string and my peavey's not throwing a fit, I run my effects pedal which include (in order of purchase) a DOD-Bass Chorus, Boss Bass Overdrive w/distortion, Fender Cry-baby for bass, MoogerFooger Envelope Follower, and DOD Phaser.
In the future, I'm hoping to acquire a new amp, either another from Peavey (although after the TKO75, I'm really hesitant to waste more money on them) or a 2x10Combo From Carvin. I'm also looking at the bass synth from Boss and the limiter enhancer from Boss as well. The Limiter and enhancer probably won't be purchased cause a good amp's gonna have these features on it, right?
