I just bought one 2 week ago, and I have to agree with all of your comments. This is my first 5 string bass and with all the slaping I do iwas looking for a neck that was thin yet the strings equal to a 4 string. I spent 2 weeks trying out all kinds of basses and finaly decided on the Ergodyne. I still haven't figured out the multy controls on it yet but I managed to get some real nice sounds out of it.
Also, what a sexy looking bass!
