: i need help fixing my bass. all the electric stuff is mested up and it needs to be replaced and i dont know how to do that and i need to what i'll have to buy right now it's just a shape

Ummm, here's an idea, buddy...a music store that does repairs? depending on where you live, i understand that a good music store can be hundreds of miles away.
first things first...don't go chopping into your instrument thinking you can just find the problem yourself, because it may be a shorted-out wire, which is virtually impossible to spot. The windings in your pick-ups may be bad, especially if your instrument is very old or was damaged by liquid, like spilt beer?? Also, a wire may be loose inside, which is easier to spot, but unrepairable without soldering. Again, don't chop into the beast just yet. If your instrument is under a year old, you may still be under warrenty and opening it up may void that warrenty. The problem may be very simple. e-mail me with your exact problem, and i'll do what i can to help.
