Brock: For what it's worth, in my opinion, the "neck-through" design leads to a deeper, "woodier" tone, a better feel and a tad more sustain. I play a neck-through 5-string and would never dream of going back to a bolt-on design now that I've been "spoiled". Bottom line is you should plug both models into the same amp, while keeping the EQ the same for both tests and pick the one that feels and sounds best to you -
