: Hi Frank,
: If you don't want to change your rig, go to a music store & experiment with
: bass preamps & multi-effects pedals.....can REALLY alter your sound.

What I did was to buy an Alesis MidiVerb 4 for Christmas. This has 156 effects (multiple combinations of flange+delay+chorus, etc.). In addition to altering the sound of my bass in ways that would require multiple pedals, this has 2 inputs/2 outputs as well as midi ins/outs. I've also tried it with vocals (I like to sing but have a weak, often off-key voice). This thing can not only effect my bass but can effect my voice, so I think I can change both my instrument and my voice in one swoop. If not, my keyboardist is dying to use the Leslie simulator so I'll definitely use it!!
