: Which r the best bass guitar manufactorers?
Hey..i don't even know if this pertains to your question, but
Check it out...dude i've been searching for a top quality bass for a while...as you might or might not know..actually playing a bass guitar before buying one cause you "heard it was good" is of KEY importance. In my search i have to admit looked at prices first, and then looked up the info on the bass and looked up what people said about it...doing this I came to a Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass. While this remains a fabulous bass guitar, it didn't suit me. I found this out when i went to a place called the 'House of Guitars' in Rochester, NY. (I don't know if you live anywhere near there. The sad part is I was almost going to buy it without ever have laying a finger on it...
BIG MISTAKE.. and i'm glad i didn't learn it the hard way... Anyway, after some serious soul searching, I tried all the other "Fine Bass Guitars"
such as Ken Smith, Fender, Tobias, Rickenbacher (spelling?), etc...
Then thank the lord..........i found a Warwick Thumb (bolt on version).
Warwick, a germany based company, who i'd heard about but not really payed attention to proved themselves with this bass that i was checking out at the store and i gotta tell you it was a real Shot in the arm!!!!!! I own one now, and it far exceeds any bass i've ever played in sound, overall feel, and playability (of electric basses anyway). To top that all off it is the best LOOKING one that i've seen... And although the other guitars i played sounded great, (i would never turn them down as a gift :) ) they just didn't cut my standards..
So if you're looking to buy a bass, and i don't even know if you are or not,
Try playing them. Thats it. You'll know what the best bass is DESPITE what anyone else tells you.
Good luck, and i hope that helps
