: : : I'm glad you posted about the Moon...I ahve never heard of the moon w/exception of seeing some comments here and there. Just out of curiosity, do they mount in the the J-retro? and what kind fo price range do they have... I gave $250.00 plus shipping for my J-retro, and because of the quality and versitality of the unit. I would say I got my monies worth. Glad to see you post about the moon EL.
: : : Thanks!

: : Regarding your other question ("Just out of curiosity, do they mount in the the J-retro?"), you'll have to indulge me, but being English my second language (I'm from Argentina) I just couldn't understand what you're asking. Do you mean if Luthiers Acces Group will mount a J-retro on your bass? Or if they cary J-retros for sale? Sorry! Clarify this and I'll get back.
: : Buena suerte compadre and keep your bass up front in the mix,

: Yes pal, that was some lousy English I laid on you.. What I meant was, does the Moon fit in a J bass Like theJ- Retro?
: does it look stock?
: Thats what I meant. thanks EL!

Hey Tim, what's up man?
Oh yes, the Moon preamp fit into my Modulus Vintage J (which itself is a replica of a '64 Fender Jazz)very nicely. No routing in the cavity needed, just unsolder the old unit, solder the pickup wires to the pots of the Moon and you're good to go. Piece o' cake!
You can get a look on how the Moon fits into a J-Bass in Bass Player Magazine. I can't remember which month's issue it was (though I think it's November '98), but it had John Paul Jones in the cover.
Hope this answers your question.
Buena suerte and keep your bass up front in the mix. See ya...
