: I've never seen it, Bill, but I do have an old copy of a book and cassette (somewhere) with the title something along the lines of "JS Bach the Electric Bass" that had some Bach pieces notated for electric. But as far as the 'real thing' -- classical music composed for electric bass -- maybe in some avant garde piece, but I don't know of any.

No, I've not seen any at all. I have played with the idea - concerto for electric bass and orchestra, that type of thing. The interesting matter that immediately arises is that musical notation doesn't really cater for electric instruments. If notated conventionally, the score would be very open, far more so than classical guitar, for example. I'll think further . . .
