So you are writing a Thesis on Fingerings? Interesting. Are you just interested in the different methods of fingerings, or the differences between Double Bass and Bass Guitar? The different Methods that I can think of for double bass are: Simandl,(German)Bille,(French), Rabbath(Nouveu) Bass guitar fingering differ with the number of strings and the tunings used. If you can be a little more specific as to what you are looking for,It will help you get a better answer.
