: : after the neck on my plywood eberle broke off it became apparent that someone had done a bad repair job with white glue. i intend to put it back together with hide glue, does anyone know of any good products for removing white glue?

: Aaarrgh! White Glue! Bad Luthier, Bad Luthier...Seriously though if you soften it up with warm water and a cloth, it should wipe off, with a little elbow grease. But if you can't wait, you can use acetate, but fair warning, it will strip away any finish it comes in contact with.On second thought, just be patient with the warm water method, it will work.

Whoever used white glue should be hunted down and shot
