: reply to walking bass and blues. Check out this cat on the new Rob Stone CD. I understand he was the former bass player for the Chicago Blues Band with the legendary drummer Sam Lay;from the Howling Wolf Band, and has played with a lot of the heavy older blues guys from Chicago. I saw him with Rob at the House of Blues in Boston; very heavy player. He can swing hard and play the real lowdown shit man, the real deal. He's a pretty cool guy, I had a chance to talk to him a little and asked him for some pointers, he was very cool about showing me some bass lines and giving me some tips on how to play in a traditional blues groove; a very humble guy. His name is Patrick Rynn. Check out thier website at www.robstone.com and listen to some of the lines he's playing. Good Luck.
