: Does having to use powered amps, cranked up fairly far, bring out an amps hiss?
: I know that these cab's require a lot of power, but my eden hisses if turned up to far.

Not necessarily; you are just hearing the noise floor of the amp. Think of the noise (hiss or whatever) as being a constant percentage of the output, assuming you are raising the power amp, not the preamp (where other variables may be involved). As the output rises, so does the noise, until it becomes more audible and obvious. The type of cabinet you use shouldn't make much of a difference; it is just reproducing what you put into it. The more efficient the cabinet, the more quickly you will hear it, but logically, it still remains the same percentage.

I know that my Eden cabinet seemed more "hissy" than the Euphonic Audio cabs I now have; the tweeter in the Eden is brighter and more pronounced, while the Euphonic is more real and not so "crispy".
