I'm looking for some opinions on which acoustic bass I should buy.
I used to have a Hohner acoustic base. That bass had such great presence
while playing with other 6-string counterparts. I had a chance to play
a washburn acoustic bass. I did have a nice tone but as soon as the other
6-stringers started playing I got completely washed out. I went and bought
an electric bass, although its presence is there, I really miss the feel
and the "tone" of the hohner. Soooo...I did A little research and narrowed
It down to two basses. One is the EAB50 by Hohner and the other is the
HFP590PBE by Samick. The hohner has a standard round sound hole and the
Samick has the "f" style sound holes like the ones on violins, chellos and
upright basses. what difference does that make on tone?? I think both these
basses are in the same neighborhood pricewise. Well folks whadya think, which
one? Any suggestion while be much appreciated. Thanks again!!!
