I like sitting. But I am playing amplified pizz mostly. Any loss of body resonance is unnoticeable. I would only recommend not reclining the instrument too much. You can keep close to the same angle as standing and still sit. I recommend the stool I use-- Quik Lok BX/714 Standing stool. It is very flexible: height adjustable, with back rest and foot rests. It lists for about $125 I think. I have felt that it frees up the hands/body from the support functions. I play much more relaxed sitting.
