: I am looking for a luthier to repair a Juzek Bass. I live on Staten Island, NY and would appreciate anyone who can help me. Preferably I am looking for someone on Staten Island.
David Gage is probably the easiest for you to get to. 212-274-1322. He's on Walker St., 2 blocks south of Canal, between Church and Broadway. You may be able to find a meter on Church; there are parking lots on Church and on Walker. Don't try illegal parking; you'll get towed real fast. The oher guys in Manhattan are not as accessible. Bollbach, Kolstein, and Schnitzer are all excellent, but involve more travel time. You don't say what the problem is, so I don't know if it's something that some local guy can fix. But why risk it? Go to one of the guys Ed named.
