Dear JJ,
A great bass to learn on is the acoustic basses made in China. At my shop we sell them for as low as $1,800, which includes a case and fiberglass bow with horsehair. You can check anywhere about Guarneri House and find we are reputable. We import the instruments, then spend several days to several weeks setting them up with top quality gears, strings, and adjusting them for optimum sound. Contact me if you need more info.

+: I used to play guitar in a folk/garage band 4 years ago and havent played anything since. I have been looking to buy an acoustic bass with electrics and I dont know what brands are good to learn on. I dont want some cheap bass that sounds like crap and I dont need a real expensive bass either. I am looking for a middle of the road quality bass that produces a good or average sound. I cant believe the sales people I've been talking to. Can anybody please stear me in the right direction to what makes and models I should be considering. Any help is greatly appreciated.
