: My bridge just snapped into 3 pieces while i was changing strings (but that's another post all together) and i was wondering if anyone could give me an idea how much i should expect to pay to have a new bridge made/set up for my bass. there's a guy in town that can probably do a good job on it, but before i talk to him i'd to have an idea what others have paid for a similar job. thanks all, chelsea

Chelsea, It all depends on the person or persons working on your instrument, and
if you are going to buy the bridge or have them supply one for you. I have purchased
bridges from First Quality for around $30.00. I have had quotes on bridges from repair-men
for around $75.00, just for the bridge. So when you figure bridge and cutting the bridge from an
experienced or professional repair-man, you can most likely figure to spend anywhere from $100.00 to
$200.00. Hope that helps. The SBKid
