: Can somebody tell me about François Rabbath's "New BassTechnigque",is it good for beginner ? and how do you fell when you study from it.

I began with Simandl book #1, along with his 30 etude book. Once I made sufficient progress in the "traditional" Simandl method (so I could play with decent intonation up to thumb position), I began studying the Rabbath method using his CD only. I realize it is not as comprehensive as his three volume set, but I feel it truely does get to the heart of his ideas. I have found it very helpful to me.

I have added Mark Morton's arpeggio and scale books which really combine both methods (each used for different purposes/results). The Morton book's (endless scale and arpeggios) along with the etudes in the Rabbath CD have proven most helpful to me so far.
