: : : : i have a john juzek chek strad copy with a round back. it is spruce top and the tuners are heavly engraved. heavy flaming on sides and back. the purfling is inlayed wood and makes a double circle going into a shield design. need help determining value.. help!
: : : : also have a johann otto nuemberg strad copy that is check made. flat back copy of cremona 1721 with wood tunners. need help with value.
: : : : also have a hearold jaeger flat back check that is a copy of cremona 1733. it is a spruce top also.
: : : : any help any one can give will be greatly appreicated...
: : RE: Depending on the shape it is in, the Juzek is worth anywhere from 4.000 to 8,000 USD. Sounds like Its made with the old wood, a good luthier would know. The other ones, without know how old they are, I can't say. Anything made after the 68 revolution is probably poorly made, worth about 2500 to 6000 USD
: depending again on what kind of shape it is in. You really should take it to a shop for an on-sight estimate.

thanx for the information..
