About Musimas: I don't know how they compare to Kays, but they are also factory plywood bass and what is said about Kays - a Kay is a Kay - applies, meening that you should not have too high expectations about them. They are nevertheless convenient student bass and, for that reason, I would keep the adjustable bridge.
About mixing Obligatos: the composite core of these strings is very elastic, and tend to atenuate longitudinal vibration and higher harmonics, resulting in a darker sound. Helicore orchestra have a braided metal core (plus damping material - silk?) and have less longitudinal elasticity, but they are heavier (especialy A & E!) so it is their effect which predominate, even when you don't play them. So I don't think Obligato mix well with other strings.
Maybe a soundpost adjustment would do the trick ?
