Hey Todd,

I tried them on a young kids bass [not on a gig] one of those Jim Labbs Superstores carved basses.They are nice but the G string is wraped in aluminum so you may have the same problem you had with the Pro-Artes as far as the G string.This kid is into Jimmy Garrison so he's looking for that nice earthy sound. They were a good match on his bass, He had the Jazzers on before.

They are thicker like guts and they had a nice volume [better than metal]I think you'd dig them if they can hold up and you can find them at a reasonable price.Around $126.00 at SW Strings,but no shipping.Anyone out there have a better price ?
